Huge victory for Kejriwal in Supreme Court

The court has at last made a judgement on the rift between Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and its Chief Minister. It has clearly stated that the Lieutenant Governor (LG) cannot act independently and can't obstruct the AAP government’s functioning. The five member bench has declared that the LG is mere representative of the central government. The court has said that except in the case of three issues of land, law and order and police on whom the central government has exclusive rights... LG should not interfere in other aspects and try to stall the decisions of the state government. The court has time and again in its judgement stressed the need for a harmony between central and state governments- "The relationship between Centre and State government should  be healthy. The LG must work harmoniously with the state. The LG and council of ministers have to be constantly aligned,’ advised the court.
