Tips for Time Management

Everyone in this world is provided with 24 hours of time within a day. But the difference lies in its usage. Some use it and become success and some just lose it and remain a failure. And that is the reason why Time Management has become crucial in the field of personality development. These are some of the most popular tips suggested by many of the experts in Time Management.

Let there be a plan

Most of us jot down a daily schedule, but won’t care to allot time for each one of the task. Assigning the time limit to our tasks would create a sense of discipline and urgency to complete the work. It would also give us an opportunity to review the time spent and make necessary changes.

Learn to say no

Much of our time can often be wasted in obligations. Keep in your mind of the precious time needed to meet such commitments... and learn to say no for futile obligations. But be sure that your denial is not going to affect your relation.

While waiting

We spend much of our time in waiting. We wait to reach our destination, we wait to meet some official and we even wait for a bus. Try to utilise those precious moments. Grab the text book to complete a chapter or pickup your laptop to review a project.

Electronic Gadgets

These are the days of digital revolution and we can find every person with a smart phone in his hand. But have we ever considered the time wasted with those gadgets? A study conducted by the British psychologists has revealed that the youngsters were spending an average of five hours a day with their smart phones. Having some control on such habits can save some valuable hours in our lives.

Remainders

There are lot of devices that keep a track on our time management. Applications and appliances such as digital organisers, online calendars... can all be used to remind us of our tasks. Time tested utilities like dairies and post it notes would also be helpful.

Review

It would always be good to review our schedules and time allotments once in a while. It would give us an insight of our achievements as well as lapses. It would help us to pinpoint those moments that are getting wasted.

And finally... time management doesn’t mean that we should work like a machine. Enough sleep, rest, exercise and entertainment should always be a part of our daily lives.
