Cash-less medical treatment to employees granted

The state government has issued guidelines for issuing health cards to its employees through GOs (No: 174, 175 and 176) on Friday, thus meeting their longstanding demand for availing cashless medical treatment. The Gazette rank officers have to pay Rs.120 as premium and the NGOs have to pay Rs.90 to avail this cash-less medical treatment. Employees and their family members can take treatment worth upto Rs. 2 Lakhs in this cash-less scheme using their health cards. However, treatments exceeding the Rs.2 Lakh sealing limit will not stop the treatment as it is just a technical condition. Government may ease the sealing limit depending on the condition of the patient. Government will announce the list of hospitals where employees and their family members can have treatment. This is applicable to all the state government employees irrespective of their regions.
