Former AGI Vahanavathi died

 

Former Attorney General of India G E Vahanvati (65) died with cardiac arrest in a private hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday. He served UPA government from June, 2009 and continued till Modi government takes charge. He resigned to his post on May 27th this year. He is the first person from Muslim community to occupy top law officer post of the country. He defends the UPA government in Supreme Court in several cases related different scams. He is survived by his wife and a son.
