While entire nation is in misery because of cash crunch due to ban on old 500 and 1000 notes and also because of unavailability of new currency notes, political leaders are making their family wedding ostentatiously by pouring money like anything.
Recently, Karnataka former BJP leader Gali Janardhan Reddy stunned entire nation by allegedly spending Rs 500 crores for his daughter wedding. Now, it’s Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s turn to stun the nation.
Gadkari’s only daughter Ketki tied the nuptial knot with Aditya Kaskhedikar, who works with Facebook in the US, last night. At least ten thousand guests flew down to Nagpur for the wedding ceremony.
50 chartered flights were arranged to ferry passengers for the marriage ceremony. But Nitin Gadkari’s office on Sunday rejected the claim stating only ten chartered flights were landed at the Nagpur airport over the last 24 hours.
Top leaders including BJP chief Amit Shah, Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Prakash Javadekar and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray attended the marriage ceremony. Several Industrialists including Ratan Tata and Mukesh Ambani also graced the event.
The reception will held on December 8th in New Delhi.
