TDP opposes simultaneous elections

TDP was among the 9 parties that has opposed the proposal of simultaneous elections both for Lok Sabha and Assembly. DMK, Janata Dal and Aam Admi party were among the nine parties. However, it’s interesting to note that TDP also expressed it’s unwilling to such proposal. In a representation to the law commission, the party has opined that the idea of simultaneous elections is impractical. On the other hand, TRS, JD (U) and Samajwadi parties have supported the move. Interestingly, both congress and BJP has not given their opinions on the initiative. With so many parties against the decision, the election commission might not take a bold move of imposing synchronized elections in the nation.
