FaceBook down for the second time

It’s not very often when the Social Media sites are affected by any outages or problems  but this time around Facebook suffered a worldwide outage this morning that prevented  users across the globe from accessing the social network. People in India for a brief period in the afternoon faced this problem and were unable to reach the page with  a message as shown in the Picture above.

The company apparently had issued a statement to the Guardian paper that “ this morning, we experienced an issue that prevented people from posting to Facebook for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100%. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused”.

But this brief  blackout led to a public cry on other social media sites where the users  came  down heavily on the company as it was the second time after 2010 that the site was inaccessible.Looks like something seriously went down and people were left incommunicado with their window to the world...
