Pakistan to use US fighter Jets against India

Yesterday several congressmen of US has expressed their concern over the deal of F-16 Jet fighters to Pakistan. They have warned the Foreign Affairs committee of US, that those fighters would certainly be used against India. They have urged the Obama government to review its decision in this regard. Congressmen such as Matt Salmon has questioned the judgement and timing of the sale. Though Pakistan has been claiming that these fighters would be used to counter terrorism, senate members fear otherwise.

They have felt that F-16 are more useful for a war rather than counter terrorism. They have alleged that despite grabbing huge funds from US on the name of counter terrorism, Pakistan has been letting terrorist organisations work freely on its territory. The US senate has currently put a hold on this agreement but could be evoked at any time. India has already conveyed its concerns over the deal, which involves the sale of eight F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan by US.
