Electrical Employees call off strike

Finally, electrical employees have called off their flash strike that virtually brought the state to a standstill position. Transco MD Suresh Chanda, Transco JMD Ramesh, Genco MD Vijayanand and CMDs of EPDL, CPDCL, NPDCL, SPDCL  participated in the negotiations with electrical employees, JAC representatives Sudhakar Rao, Sitaram Reddy, Gopal and few others.

Finally, they struck a deal on Monday night after the management agreed to pay 27.5 percent interim increment including Fitment benefit and increment points. They also agreed for 10 percent interim increment to contract employees. Management has convinced the employees to negotiate with the new governments about their other demands and further hike in wages. Employees JACs have called off their strike after the management had given them assurance in written form implementing the agreement that takes between them.

So, Chandrababu and KCR, who are going to take charge as Chief Ministers of Andhra and Telangana, should be prepared to meet their further demands.
