Trump and Hillary cruise forward

Donald Trump has swept 5 north eastern states in US to get closer to the mark required to contest for elections on behalf of Republican party. Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island are the states that surrendered to Trump. With the present sweep, the total number of delegates that supported Trump stood at 950. Trump still needs 287 votes to reach the magic figure of 1237. But that doesn’t seem to be a hardship for him as there were 622 votes still available to be claimed.

Ted Cruz and Kasich who were the other Republican candidates were left far behind after this victory. While this was the case of Trump, Hillary Clinton on the other hand has defeated her rival Bernie Sanders in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania. With the latest victories Hillary Clinton gets inches closer for being declared as first women candidate for President on behalf of Democratic party. So! It’s now almost clear that US might have to choose either Trump or Hillary as it’s president!
