India wins gold at Gymnastics world cup

Who could ever forget Dipa Karamakar, the most promising gymnast of recent times. Hailing from a rural background, Dipa reached such heights where no other woman gymnast could reach in previous 50 years. That’s the reason why she was able to get qualified for the Olympics that were held in Brazil. However, luck wasn’t on the side of Dipa and she missed bronze by a whisker. Not depressed with the failure, Dipa is back into action again. This time she bagged a gold medal in the ongoing World Challenge Cup in Turkey. Rakesh Patra, another gymnast participating from India was able to secure only fourth position in the competition.
