Delhi accused preparing for exams

The furious fight against Delhi gang rape case by the people of the country gradually dies after the special court takes-up the matter into its hands 3 months ago. However, the case which is described as a simple open and shut by the legal experts has been dragging its feet even after 3 months and seems may take few more months for coming to any conclusion.

Although, initially the 6 accused in this case appeared to be afraid of their lives considering the seriousness of their crime and governments firm attitude in dealing with such crimes, the way their case being prolonged all these months helps them to regain their lost confidence and even makes them demand for nutritious food, fruits, milk, news papers etc just like the Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab has enjoyed till his last minutes. The special court responding to Vinay Sharma, one of the 6 accused in this case has ordered the Tihar jail officials to provide him nutritious food, fruits, study material and even a coach to guide him as he is preparing to attend the Indian Air Force clerical recruitment tests on April 7th and it was obliged by the Jail officials.

On the other side, the court has expressed its anguish on the defense lawyers of the accused Pawan Gupta, Vinay, Mukesh and Akshay for delaying the process with their late arrivals to the court everyday. The court has warned them to be in-time to the court and not to seek adjournments frequently on silly reasons. The court made it clear that unless there is some serious health complication of their clients, the court will not grant any adjournments any further. However, the defense lawyers seem to be utilizing every loop holes of the laws to prolong the case. Ultimately no one is sure about when the trial will be completed.
