CM dharna at Jantar Mantar begins

 

 

CM Kiran Kumar Reddy as announced earlier has started dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi today around 11 am after paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. Seemandhra Congress MPs, MLAs, union and state ministers and even PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana joins his Mouna Deeksha today.

 

Union ministers Kavuri Sambhasiva rao, Chiranjeevi, Purandeswari, JD Sheelam, state ministers Sailajanath, Ganta Srinivasa rao, C.Ramachandrayya, TG Venkatesh, MPs Lagadapati, Rayapati, Harsha Kumar, Subbirami Reddy and many MLAs are among the present. AP NGOs also joins his dharna. While, CM Kiran and Botsa were seen sitting silently, all others, who participating in dharna are speaking to state and national media reporters. All usual fair like slogan shouting, Samaikyandhra songs in the back ground, displaying Placards with ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’, participants’ speeches condemning bifurcation is there to enhance the spirit of their dharna.

 

They will sit for dharna till evening 4pm. Later, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy accompanied by Seemandhra MPs, MLAs and Ministers will meet President Pranab Mukharji at 6pm. They will submit a memorandum appealing him not to allow the Centre to present the T-bill in the Parliament that has been rejected by state assembly with voice vote. They will explain how their party adopts an unconstitutional method to divide the state without having the consent of the people of the state. Whether their dharna has any effect on the Centre or not definitely it is considered to be a slap on face for Congress high command. If, they could convince the President with their arguments, it would be a humiliation for Centre.
