Chattisgarh Assembly Elections went peaceful

 

There was 74 per cent polling recorded in the final phase of polling in Chattisgarh held on Tuesday as against 71 per cent in year 2008 elections. During this phase elections for 72 constituencies were held, in which 843 candidates have contested for 72 Assembly seats and 1.40 crore voters have cast their votes. The polling went peaceful except small incidents, said the Deputy Election Commissioner R Balakrishnan at New Delhi. Results will be declared on December 8th along with the four other states- Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Delhi, which are going for polling in November and December months.
