Is CBI closing-in on Jagan’s case?

As the March month coming to an end, CBI also seems to be in a hurry to gather as much evidence as it can against Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was arrested in inappropriate and illegal assets case. Earlier, Supreme Court responding to Jagan’s lawyers’ petition has asked CBI to complete its investigation in his case before end of March.

Although, CBI director Lakshmi Narayana says that it doesn’t mean a deadline was set to complete the investigation, but seems considering it as a deadline. Hence, CBI seems to be in hurry in gathering evidences against Jagan Mohan Reddy. Recently, it has interrogated the then government advisor KVP Rama Chandra rao, who has played a key role behind YSR government in handling the mining contracts and other business deals on behalf of late YSR. Then, CBI has interrogated Prathap Reddy, the owner of Prathap Cements Company in connection with same case for more than 5 hours on Thursday and more than 7 hours on the next day. He was alleged to be benefited from YSR government in acquiring mining permissions in several areas across the state, who in return has hugely invested in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s companies.

CBI seems determined not to let Jagan Mohan Reddy go off its hook by taking advantage of Supreme Court’s deadline. Hence, it seems is gearing-up to counter him with fitting charges if he applies for bail in the Supreme Court.
