It might be a rare case, but Buddhists too could be criminals. Need an example? Here it is! A Sri Lankan court has yesterday jailed a Buddhist monk named Galagodaatte Gnanasara to six months in jail. He was brought to justice for threatening an activist named Sandya Eknaligoda, two years back. However, the past of Galagodaatte Gnanasara does provide with any good leads. He was often alleged for initiating hate crimes against Muslims. However he used to get away with them as Buddhism is the official religion in Sri Lanka. Galagodaatte Gnanasara even leads an extremist organisation called Bodu Bala Sena (Buddhist Power Force). Well! Extremist doesn’t have any religion! Does it!
