Shashank Manohar to be elected as BCCI President

BCCI board members are going to unanimously elect former BCCI President Shashank Manohar as BCCI President. His election is necessitated with the death of Jagmohan Dalmia few days back. BCCI general secretary Anurag Talkur, who was also reportedly in the race for this top post has dropped from it and declared this news to media at Mumbai on Tuesday. He said the board members will elect Shashank Manohar as the President of the BCCI on October 4th.

Shashank Manohar has served as BCCI President between 2008 and 2011, during which he earned a very good name for his sincere efforts to uphold BCCI reputation. He doesn’t hesitate to suspend the then vice-president of BCCI and the former IPL Chairman and Lalit Modi from BCCI because of his corrupt practices that tarnish BCCI reputation. India has won World Cup during his presidency in 2011. He is known to be a man of ethics and high values. He is lawyer by profession.
