Differently-abled Autic Individuals!

 

Autism is a spectrum of neuro-development disorders. This disorder usually manifests during the early childhood, i.e., between 24 months and 6 years of age. Autism affects the male child more frequently than the female child, the ration is about, one affected female child for every five male children. 

The cause of autism is yet unknown, Experts believe it might be an interplay of the defective genes and the jeopardized environmental conditions during the tenure of pregnancy, pre-pregnant state or even post pregnancy. Autism is a spectrum disease, as it can affect different aspects of neuro-development. The facets are; nonverbal, intellectual disability, language and cognitive development. Symptoms include a marked delay in language and cognitive development. 

There may be signs of obsessive and/or antisocial behavior. Autic individuals have issue with communication and social interaction, they often demonstrate restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped behavior patterns or interests. Classic Autism is one extreme form of Autism Spectrum Disorders, usually entails substantial problems in all of the areas affected. 

There is no cure for this disabling spectrum of diseases. But these can be efficiently tackled by early and intensive behavioral interventions. It is generally agreed that the earlier a child is enrolled in these programs, the better their outlook will be.
