Assembly rejects Telangana Bill

Speaker has allowed the resolution opposing the T-Bill in the house moved by CM Kiran Kumar Reddy a short while ago and after conducting Voice Vote, announced that the bill has been rejected by the house. Voting on the bill has been conducted amid protests from Telangana members. Additional security has been provided to Speaker Nadendla Manohar, while conducting voting on the bill in the house.

Later speaking to media he said total 86 members spoke in the house during last one and half months of debate on the bill. He said the resolution will be sent to President Pranab Mukharji along with the T-bill within two or three days after scrutinizing the 9072 amendments that he received from members of the house.
