AP government in search of revenue resources

The cash strapped AP government is searching for alternate revenue resources, as it is not willing to tax the people any more. Hence, it came to know that  it has engaged KPMG consultancy agency to study and suggest the government all possible ways for generating additional revenue through various sectors. The consultancy agency will visit other states and if necessary other countries also to study about the other revenue resources of the governments there before making any recommendations.

State agricultural minister Prattipati Pulla rao said that government is considering issuing government bonds, mortgage properties of the AP Beverages Corporation with banks for generating additional revenue to face the prevailing financial crunch. He said the government is also stressing the Central government to grant sufficient funds to the state to meet the budget deficit and for development activities.
