Vizag-Delhi AP Express to be launched

Finally, a direct train between Visakhapatnam and Delhi has been launched today. It was named as AP Express. It runs three days a week from Visakhapatnam and Delhi. This train will run from Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday via Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Khammam, Balarsha and Nagapur. Again it will start from Delhi on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All the compartments in this train would be AC.

Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu will inaugurate this train with remote from Rail Bhavan office in New Delhi today in the presence of union ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, Ashok Gajapati Raju, Sujana Chowdary and Vizag MP Kambampati Haribabu. He will also inaugurate Telangana Express today from Rail Bhavan, which until now was running between Hyderabad and Delhi as AP Express and renamed as Telangana Express. MPs from Telangana state will attend this inauguration program today.
