AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh requesting him to resolve nativity issue. In his letter, Chandrababu asked the home minister to amend the article 371 (D) and (E) in the constitution to enable the people, statement government employees and all others, who wants to comes and settles in the state or in the upcoming capital Amaravati treated as natives of AP state.

Chandrababu Naidu is going to New Delhi tomorrow to meet him, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and also Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inviting them to foundation stone laying ceremony of Amaravati scheduled for October 22nd. During his meeting with Rajnath Singh, he may pursue him for amending article 371 (D) and (E) of the constitution.

Recently, AP government has issued a G.O. stating that whoever and wherever from comes and settles in AP state before 2017, March 31st will be treated as natives of AP and will be eligible for employment and education like any local people in the state. Government also plans to give some exceptions to statement government employees currently working in Hyderabad. However, unless Section 371 (D) and (E) are amended nativity problem can’t be solved. So, Chandrababu Naidu is appealing the Centre for its amendment.
