Secretariat Vasthu is very bad!

Telangana CM KCR has finally opened up about his special interest in applying Vasthu rules and regulations to the government buildings. He made the cabinet approve his proposal of shifting Secretariat to a new building to be constructed at Erragadda with an estimated cost of Rs.150 crores, where Chest and mental diseases hospitals are situated.

If seen the media reports it is understood that Telangana state cabinet is endorsing CM KCR’s views on Vasthu. Minister K Taraka Rama rao said that Vasthu of the present Secretariat building is very bad and very harmful to the state interests if the government uses it. So, cabinet has approved CM KCR’s proposal to build a new Secretariat building at Erragadda. He said it is for the sake of administrative convenience and nothing else. However, mentioning Vasthu problems to the present Secretariat is clearly hinting about the actual reason for its decision.

Replying to a media question, he said state government will take appropriate decision in its next cabinet meeting about what to do with the present Secretariat building. Perhaps, he may be trying to buy some time for his government to announce the decision that was already decided. Media is abuzz with the reports that the present Secretariat building will be demolished and a new high rise building will be constructed in its place.

The present Secretariat building is accommodating both Andhra and Telangana governments’ offices. AP government is permitted to operate from there for next 9.6 years. If so, the Telangana government has to consult the AP government before going ahead with its plans. Otherwise, a fresh dispute may trigger between both governments on this matter also.
