AP Assembly Adjourned indefenitely

 

The five days’ Assembly sessions of Andhra Pradesh state were concluded on Tuesday thanking the Governor for his speech. During the five days, first three days were spent for taking oath by new members, election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker. On the third day Governor Narasimhan addressed both houses.

 

During the last two days of the sessions, heated debate takes place between ruling TDP and opposition YSR Congress party over several issues that are no way related to state development and building new capital for the state. Leaders of both parties have made lengthy speeches only to highlight their merits and defame their rivals in the house.The house approved the resolutions passed by state cabinet ministers over increase of state government employees retirement age from present 58 to 60 years, Polavaram project and prohibiting the belt shops. Assembly sessions are adjourned indefinitely till further notice.
