Centre clueless on how to resolve T-AP state disputes

The high level meeting held at Delhi yesterday by Anil Goswami, the Chief Secretary of Home Ministry with the Principal Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states-IYR Krishna rao and Rajiv Sharma, couldn’t find any solution to the disputes emerging after bifurcation between the two states. Hence, it was decided to continue the existing procedures on power purchase agreements, though they were not approved by the Regulatory Commission.

Both states agreed to nominate their members for Krishna River Board for continuing the water distribution process. However, the Chief Secretary is clueless about granting special powers to Governor Narasimhan for maintaining law and order situation in common capital Hyderabad. He reserved his views on this issue. Overall, no concrete decision has been taken during this high level meeting, except allowing the state to continue with the present systems.
