AP Assembly sessions likely to be held at Vizag?

Andhra Pradesh statement government is planning to conduct its upcoming assembly meetings at Vizag. AP Assembly ethics committee member Pithani Satyanarayana has inspected the Convocation Hall, Dr. Ambedkar AU Assembly Hall, Platinum Jubilee Guest House and Senate hall in Andhra University and Dr. YVS Murthi auditorium in GITAM University campuses on Tuesday to find if they are suitable for holding the assembly sessions.

Andhra University hosts the first Assembly sessions of the undivided AP state in 1954 during Sri Tanguturi Prakasham Panthulu regime. Then the assembly sessions were held in TLN Sabha hall in Andhra University. If, the TDP government agrees now, it would be second time conducting assembly sessions in the AU after 60 years interval.

Once, Pithani submits his report to Speaker Dr. Kodela Shiva Prasada Rao, he will make recommendations to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu. Based on his recommendations, he will take a final decision. He may make an announcement in this regard very shortly.
