Air India's flight delay made Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu extremely frustrated as he missed an important appointment due to the delay. He took to twitter and sent out a series of tweets expressing his anger. The union minister said he arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad for an afternoon flight, 45 minutes before its departure. However, Air India flight AI544 was delayed as the pilot was yet to arrive. Naidu waited for another 30 minutes before returning home since boarding still hasn’t begun. Naidu demanded an explanation from the government-run flight carrier and added, "Hope Air India understands that we are in the age of competition. Missed an important appointment".
