AP government gearing for Aadhar linkage

Former UPA government’s brain child Aadhar card and its linkage to various government schemes was proved to be disastrous. Hence, Supreme Court also made it clear that it is not mandatory to link the government schemes with Aadhar card. Its linkage to domestic gas cylinder supply is proved to be one of a terrible mistake made by the previous government. However, AP government is once again gearing up for linking Aadhar cards with all government schemes.

IYR Krishna rao, principal secretary of the state has ordered all his subordinates to restart Aadhar card linkage process, to begin with admissions in colleges and government hostels. He asked revenue officials to link revenue records also. Although, the government claims it is for effective governance, the main intention behind this idea is to filter the creamy layer from the deserved so as to reduce the financial burden on the government. But, several complications were surfaced in the past, when the state government tried to link the cards with government schemes. So, unless the state government do some ground work before starting the process, this time also it turns into disastrous.
