Emotionally Distressed Caused Neelima’s Death

Police are following up on a text message sent by Neelima Eruva, Employee of Infosys, who ended her life jumping from 7th floor of Infosys building.

Following up on a text message sent by her to a mobile phone in Mumbai, police investigators  suggests that the SMS sent by her suggests she was in some emotional difficulty.

Three days after the death, police have broken the passwords to Neelima’s email accounts and unlocked her Samsung cell phone. However, they found that she had deleted her contact numbers, caller lists and SMSes before her death. They say the mobile phone to which the last message was sent is located in Mumbai. Police could manage to get the data and call list from service provider.

‘I lost everything in my life. I want to be a good wife to you in my next birth,” was the last text message sent from Neelima’s phone at 9.45 p.m. on July 31, shortly before she jumped to death.

Based on the investigative leads, police are planning to question a man named Prashant, aka Pandu, with whom Neelima was said to have been in touch by email. Prashant is reportedly a senior IT professional working with Cognizant and had been a colleague of Neelima at an IT firm.
