16 girls raped in shelter home

 

Sankalp Evam Vikas Samiti is a shelter home in Bihar. However that was just a disguise to run flesh trade. A recent social audit conducted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has raised few suspicions about the home prompting the officials to conduct medical exam upon the girls residing in the house. The reports revealed some shocking facts. 16 out of 21 girls were said to have been raped. They were allegations that outsiders too visit the house indicating that the organisors were indulging in flesh trade. An FIR was lodged in this case after which Thakur, the owner of the shelter home along with seven other female staff working in the shelter were arrested.
