Sheena murder case: Taped conversations out

Yet another twist has been added to the contentious Sheena Bora murder case. The media has accessed phone conversations of former media baron Peter Mukerjea, his son Rahul and prime accused in the case Indrani Mukerjea. A tape of telephonic conversations between Peter Mukerjea and Rahul has emerged where the former media baron can be heard trying to pacify his son over the whereabouts of Sheena Bora.  

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday clarified that all the taped conversations among Indrani Mukerjea, Peter Mukerjea and his son Rahul Mukerjea being played in media, indicating that there was an attempt to cover up the Sheena Bora murder case, have been taken into account during the investigation and have also been submitted in the court. “All the tapes being played on certain channels on the Sheena Bora murder case have been taken into account during the CBI investigation.

In one of the conversations, Rahul can be heard speaking to Peter and asking about Sheena, to which Peter says he has no knowledge of her whereabouts.  Rahul also brought up Sheena's "character" in the recording, saying he does not know her well. When Rahul points out that Indrani was the last person who spoke to Sheena, Peter asks Rahul to come over to Goa to discuss the issue. Meanwhile the judicial custody of Indrani Mukerjea, Peter Mukerjea and Sanjeev Khanna has been extended till 13th September
