MONSOON MAKE - UP TIPS

Monsoon may bring us relief after a spell of sweaty days; however this season can be our worst enemy when it comes to make-up. Endless rain can make make-up melt, and the humidity merely adds to our troubles. Here are few tips on how to make it up for Monsoon !

On the Go!! While on a casual day out with friends and family, follow the mantra “Less is more”. Avoid a heavy layer of foundation opt instead for an oil free tinted soufflé and powder to keep away excess moisture. Keep your brows in shape to avoid dealing with dripping eyebrow pencil colour. Use light khol in your eyes and a bright lip gloss to brighten up your face instantly. Working glamorous Being well groomed and looking presentable are imperative for working girls irrespective of the season. Since you can get wet while traveling it is a good idea to keep your make-up simple, fresh and light. Instead of heavy foundation go for a tinted moisturizer and follow this up with an application of loose compact power to avoid oiliness. For eyes a dash of waterproof eyeliner will do the trick. Remember to avoid khol as it may smudge. Opt for creamy lipsticks to keep dryness at bay. Tinted and flavoured lip balms are also a good option for frequent use.

Party Poppers The party and wedding season in our country is never ending! Dressing up for events during the monsoon can be an uphill task. The humidity can make skin under heavy make-up look blotchy and in some cases skin may even react angrily to your usual products. However weather cannot be a reason to avoid dolling up oneself for a party. Invest in some good quality oil-free matte primer and foundation to see you through the season and do not apply these with a heavy hand. Such occasions demand glittery and shimmery make-up, so always use eyeliner, khol and oil free eye shadows which are waterproof and smudge proof.

Simple yet Stylish! If you’re looking for a fast and simple hairstyle in the monsoon then ponytails are for you. Ponytails are forever our favorites, easy to create and always capable of giving you a clean look. This look is easily manageable by frizzy hair as well, just comb your hair back and say goodbye to the frizz! Don’t just sport a regular top ponytail; mix things up and opt for a side ponytail, or even the infamous pigtails!  Another handy hair-do is the half-up half-down hair style. This is an eye-catcher on account of the fact that it is not used very often these days. Loosely clip your hair up, and let the rest flow down. This minimizes the amount of loose hair that you need to handle while outdoors.
