The final verdict of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh

on Dec 20, 2012

Making the survey reports true, Gujarat Chief Minster Narendra Modi completes his battle winning 116 seats in Gujarat elections out of 182 in the assembly leaving his rival Congress party far beyond him.

Congress party, which played all its age old tricks like its ‘game changer’ cash transfer scheme announcement, subsidy cylinders increase announcement, was able to bag only 60 seats in these elections.

The Modi factor also makes magic on his rival Keshu Bhai Patel, who launched Gujarat Parivartan party and contested for 82 seats but won only 2 seats. Party president Keshu Bhai and his colleague only able to pass this test in the whole batch of his 82 contestants, proving that none of them matches Modi caliber in state politics.

At Himachal Pradesh, the story is different for BJP. It looses the power to Congress party in the elections. While Congress won 36 seats BJP was able to pocket 26 seats only, leaving a 10 seats margin between them. Six independents, who also won in the elections, are going to play ‘king maker’ role in the days to come.

The expected victory in Gujarat elections brings applauds to Narendra Modi, who tweets “It is time to go ahead with courage and patience. We need not to turn around anymore.” Modi’s mother blessed him as the would-be-prime minister of the country, thus guiding to his next destination.
