Yedurappa launches new political party
Updated : Dec 9, 2012
Former Karnataka Chief Minister, who quits BJP recently, has launched his new political party ‘Karnataka Janata party’ at Haveri, the heart of the Karnataka state on Sunday noon, in the presence of the ruling BJP MLAs, MPs, MLCs and its leaders, with whom he wants to make a show-off. According to reports, around 30 MLAs, 5MPs, some Ministers and MLCs from ruling BJP government have joined the inauguration function of his party. Sunil Kumar, one of the ministers of Jagadish Shetter’s cabinet has openly declared that, he is with Yeddurappa party. CM Shetter has expelled his Minister Putta Swamy from his cabinet and suspends Tumakur MP Basavaraj from the party for their anti-party activities, thus to warn the others in his government who plans to join Yedurappa meeting today.
However, ignoring the warnings several MLAs, MPs and leaders from his government have participated in his meeting. Yeddi claims that over 50 MLAs in the ruling BJP government are ready to join him at any given moment. In such case, the situation may remind us about Kiran Kumar Reddy government, which also has faced the same situation here at AP with Jagan’s supporters in the government.
