Jagan, Congress Patch-up on Cards: Chandrababu Naidu
Updated : May 28, 2011
Reacting on Jagan's challenge to TDP to move no-confidence move against Kiran Kumar government, Naidu shot back "Jagan is a political novice. He doesn't know when can a no-confidence motion can be moved and by whom. It is he who should move such a motion as it would clearly expose how many in the Congress are with the CM and how many with Jagan." On the more pressing issues concerning his party, Naidu admitted to a turmoil as far as Telangana is concerned, but expressed confidence that it will emerge victorious. "The Congress, TRS and Jagan are doing their best to finish off the TDP in the T region, but we will not allow the game plan of the upper castes to succeed," he said and dismissed the revolt of Nagarkurnool MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy and a few others as a minor crisis that the party would easily overcome.
About the future plans and agitations, Naidu said land allotment by successive Congress governments will be taken up as a major issue by the party in the coming months. "The YSR regime has gifted away 12 lakh acres of land to unproductive Special Economic Zones, industrial corridors another 2 lakh acres and 6 lakh acres for mining and other industries. Not one of them have come up and a single job been provided. The TDP will take up this issue in a big way and ensure that every poor family gets a piece of land and is able to live with respect," the TDP chief said.
