Chandrababu pardons MPs
Updated : Dec 9, 2012
TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, during his ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ pada-yatra in Adilabad district addressing the people has talked about the FDI controversy that occurs with the absence of his 3 MPs. Although, people didn’t expect him to talk about that embarrassing matter, Chandrababu prefers to clarify the issue to the people who attend his meeting at Narsapur(G).
“Indeed, I am hurt with the absence with my 3 MPs to parliament in the crucial period. I agree it even had its impact on the party reputation. It wouldn’t happen so, but happened. While, our leader of our party in the floor Devendar Goud had my permission for his absence, the other two Sujana Chowdary and Sudha Rani have given their explanation letters expressing grief and asking pardon for their absence to the voting on FDI bill in Rajya Sabha. However, I will inquire into this matter and if anyone found guilty will be punished seriously. No matter how big leader and how important are they to the party. However, I believe if it is just a mistake happened unknowing of the consequences. In such case, party should not punish them for their small mistakes.”
He has confirmed that his MP Sujana Chowdery has given his resignation letter to him, without being asked for it owing moral responsibility to his mistake. Chandrababu asked his party cadres to refrain from going to media any further in this regard, which he believes damaging the party reputation.
