It’s not an odd experience for Hyderabadis. They are accustomed to the foul smell delivered by Hussain Sagar as they travel over Tank Bund. We often wonder about the action taken by the governments in cleansing the river despite huge promises. But... can you believe. Can you believe that more than 1000 crores of rupees were spent in cleansing Hussainsagar in last 15 years. Neither the quality of the water nor it’s drainage has improved with those huge amounts. Activists warn that the river might soon turn into nothing but a sewage within few years!!!
