GHMC begins the “Samagrah” survey

HYDERABAD: On Tuesday, “Samgrah” survey on lake and nala impingements has been begun by the authorities of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The officials, belonging to 32 special teams which were organized by GHMC, visited 23 main nalas and identified many impinged drains at Chaitanyapuri, Kapra, LB Nagar and Uppal.On this context, S Devender Reddy, the chief city planner of GHMC said, “Encroachments have been inspected with the help of old maps that are available with GHMC”, adding that, the officials would take twenty to twenty five days to study each major nala stretch and the measurements were taken on day one for the same.
