Flipkart’s sale will be bigger this year

NEW DELHI: In order to meet the festive demand, Flipkart is thinking to hire over 10,000 temporary staff in logistics. Nitin Seth, chief administrative officer of Flipkart said that, with festive season coming in, they were confident that the Big Billion days would be bigger and better in the year 2016. In addition to the new capability of the alternate delivery model, they were looking at hiring over 10,000 temporary staff in logistics and last mile across the country, he added.Mr. Seth said, “This will be done to meet the massive demand that our company expects during the festive season”. When he was asked about the recent reports of Flipkart, which said that it would lay off 800 people, he responded to it and said that they completely and unequivocally deny any layoffs at the company in the coming months, that that was completely false and baseless and that there were no plans for layoffs in any team in the coming months.
