Coast Guard apprehends Pak boat off Gujarat coast

The Coast Guard ship 'Samudra Pavak' apprehended a suspicious Pakistani boat near Porbandar off the Gujarat coast.The coast guard ship Samudra Pavak apprehended the boat and its crew members at around 10:15 in the morning. As per the preliminary inquiry, crew members are reportedly fishermen.
The Coast Guard has taken the boat with crew to Porbandar for further probe. A senior coast guard officer confirmed the development and said the crew members are being questioned by officers to get more details about their activity and plan in the Indian waters. ICG Samudra Pavak was on patrol duty off Gujarat coast when it found the Pakistani boat in Indian waters.
The Pakistani boat was chased and crew members were apprehended. The coast guard is likely to hand over the Pakistani men to Porbandar Police for further investigations. The Indian Coast Guard has been maintaining heightened 24X7 vigil with its ships and aircraft.
