Plane crashes in Nepal: A passenger jet carrying 19 people has crashed on the outskirts of the Nepalese capital Kathmandu.
A police spokesman says it is feared the 16 passengers and three crew on the Sita plane were killed when it crashed into the banks of a river near Kathmandu airport.Rescuers are trying to put out the fire.
The aircraft had taken off minutes earlier and was bound for Lukla, a small town in north eastern Nepal which serves as the gateway to Mount Everest. The nationalities of the passengers was not immediately clear.
