While political analysts are attributing Congress defeat to Rahul and Sonia Gandhi only, Congress ally NCP lead by former union minister Sharad Pawar attribute it to communication gap between party and people.
NCP spokesperson Nawab Mallik speaking to media said “There is communication gap between Sonia Gandhi and Dr.Manmohan Singh. There is communication gap between the party high command and the people. Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Chidambaram and many others prefer to communicate with the people in English than national language. They also fail to convince the people over several issues like price hike etc. because of this language barrier. So, there was communication gap within party and between party and people, which is one reason for the party defeat. However, BJP leaders perfectly communicate with the people by speaking in Hindi language. They have educated the rural people about how the Congress is failed and we have seen the outcome.”
