Film actor and grandson of Telugu Desam founder late NT Ramarao, junior NTR gave clarifications about his close friend Kodali Nani quitting TDP to join YSR Congress Party. Speaking to the media, he said that he doesn't have any sort of differences either with the Telugu Desam Party or his family members as is being alleged for some time now. He strongly condemned the same and said that he will remain with the party as long as he lives.
Junior NTR said "It is a wellknown fact that Kodali Nani is close to me. It is his sole decision to leave TDP and I have no say in it. It is not proper that I have planned and engineered the defection due to some frictions within my family and the party. It is not at all true, I have no frictions or misunderstandings with my family nor the party. The reason for my keeping distance with party affairs all these days is purely because of my professional preoccupation. I'm just 28 years old now and think I am not of the age to enter politics, neither I have any intention as such in near future. But, whenever my services are required for the party, I will be there to render them. My profession, acting in films, is paramount to me... it's my bread and butter. I don't think at 28 I have the expertise to enter active politics and I'm also not certain if I have it in future. I want to make it clear once for all that I have no problems whatsoever with my family or the party. I have nothing to do with Kodali Nani quitting the party to join YSRCP."
