Bihar: Boy Makes Voice Controlled Wheelchair

Anurag Prakash from Bihar has done something very special for his grandfather. He made a Voice Controlled Wheelchair for him to move around independently in his oldage. Anurag, a final semester student at the Birla Institute of Technology, inspired by physicist Stephen Hawking, who owns a voice-controlled wheelchair, created this version which responds to voice commands for four basic movements like left, right, forward and reverse. It even stops when it encounters an obstacle or approaches a staircase.
