Sabudana Khichdi-Janmashtami Special




On this Janmashtami, “Sabudana Khichdi” is a perfect food for those who are  on a fast. This dish is so very tasty that its hard to resist and very easy to make.

1 cup Tapioka balls (sabudana) , washed and drained
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds 
¼ tsp musterd seeds
1 cup boiled and peeled potato cut in to cubes
1/2  cup roasted coarsely powdered peanuts
2 tbsp coriander- finely chopped 
2 tsp green chillies- finely chopped 
4-5 curry leaves 
1tsp Dry mango powder 



Soak Sabudaana balls in a deep bowl for 2 hours. Drain excess water and keep aside.
Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds and musterd seeds.  then add green chillies, curry leaves.  
Now add boiled potato cubes, soaked sabudana, salt, dry mango powder and coriander and mix thorougly.
cook  on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
Finally sprinkle  peanuts powder nicely and stir well. 
Serve hot with chutney.
