Easy instruction to prepare Onion Samosa


Sodium, Carbohydrates, Fiber, Iron, Calcium.


 Onion - 1/4 kilo

Maida - 1/4 kilo

Vanaspathi - 50 gm

Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp

Mustard - 1/4 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Asafoetida - a pinch

Curry leaves - a few

Salt - as needed

Oil - as needed


  • Take a pan an put dalda and let it heat. Then add to maida, salt, mix well and knead to a dough.
  • Take a vessel and put oil and let it heat. add mustard and when it splutters, add onion, turmeric powder, chilli powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and stir well. When onion is fried soft, switch off the stove.
  • Take a small portion of dough and roll into a small circle. Place a spoon of onion, fold into a cone and set aside.
  • Take a deep vessel put oil for deep fry and let it, then add the samosas, fry it till crisp and serve it with fried green chilli or sause.
