Javed Akthar slams Owaisi on Bharat Mata issue

Rajay Sabha member Javed Akthar took a surprising step in delivering his last speech in the parliament. This noted lyricist and screenplay writer was nominated by the UPA government, and is in the verge of his term. Javed Akthar has slammed both Muslim extremists as well as the right wing supporters in the emotional farewell speech. Hinting at the remark made by Asaduddin Owaisi that he would never chant `Bharat mata ki jai’ as it is not laid in the constitution. Akthar commented  “the Constitution even does not ask him to wear sherwani (dress) and topi (cap)… I don’t care to know whether saying ‘Bharat mata ki jai’ is my duty or not, it is my right.” Akthar has even took the occasion to chant the slogan a few times. After Asaduddin, it was the right wing extremists who were thrashed by Akthar. He raised his concern about the elements which are threatening secularism and religious freedom. Secularism, democracy, parliamentary debates, patriotism... and what not! Akthar has touched every issue that was being a major concern for the present Indians!
