Vijayamma May Take up Odarpu Yatra

In case of CBI arresting her son Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSR widow Vijayamma might opt for continuing Odarpu Yatra in his place, say the sources. Vijayamma joined her son on the 14th day of his yatra in Krishna district accompanied by Jagan loyalist MLAs, G Srikanth Reddy and Adinarayana Reddy. Though it was speculated that she would join her son in Odarpu Yatra and participate in public meetings, the YSR party sources maintained that she was there only to bless him on his marriage anniversary (28-08-11).

It is not yet clear whether she would join her son in the Odarpu yatra and participate in the public meetings. But two things make her participation imminent, say the observers. Firstly, Jagan Mohan Reddy has been suffering from severe sore throat and cold for the past few days as he was addressing meetings in rain and till late in the nights. Doctors also have cautioned him against continuing the tour. Secondly, the CBI which is investigating into the alleged large scale corruption by Jagan and associates, may at any moment round him up for questioning.
