Pregnant woman suffers burns from iPhone 7

A Sydney mother claims she suffered second-degree burns after falling asleep with her iPhone 7 charging while resting on her arm. In a Facebook post, she posted a picture of her red, blistered arm and issued a warning to others to keep their phones well away from their beds. "I recently purchased an Apple iPhone 7 and accidentally fell asleep with my arm on my phone whilst it was charging. I was woken up by sudden pain, pins and needles, numbness and shortness of breath" reads the post. She said she took to the phone to an Apple store where staff initially said the device could not have burnt her because it did not have "a distinct smell". "I then got a call from a member of the executive team who told me they were now handing the matter and had sent the phone to a senior technician in California for testing," she said adding, "I have been an iPhone user since the beginning and have never had an issue or concern, so it's really scary and disappointing that something like this happened and can happen to someone else".
