North Korea executes its army chief

Kim Jong, the supreme leader of North Korea might be just 33 years old. But he seems to have learnt every trick for being a monarch. He has been harsh to make decisions and he has been violent to implement them. He is into the news yet again with another execution. Gen. Ri Yong-gil, chief of the North Korean Army's general staff was executed this week under the suspicion of treason. Though this is a news to the world, such executions are no more a surprise to the people of North Korea. Officers at higher profiles would have to face the gun, if their actions arose suspicion in the mind of Kim Jong. Even Kim's uncle, Jang Song-thaek, was executed brutally in 2013. He was at that time thought to be the nation's second-most powerful figure. That’s it! Being a powerful figure would have its own perils.
